SEPLAT Scholarship: Nigerian-owned Seplat Petroleum Development firm (SEPLAT) is an oil and gas firm that is traded on the London and Nigerian stock exchanges.

SEPLAT Scholarship

In July 2009, SEPLAT was created through a collaboration between Platform Joint Ventures Limited and Shebah Petroleum Development Company Limited.

The goal was to exclusively look for upstream oil and gas possibilities in Nigeria. Additionally, to develop a variety of options from the portfolios of the current Major IOC.

Seplat has advanced to become the top indigenous oil and gas company in Nigeria since its first public operation in 2010.

The corporation has consistently expanded its annual production and reserves since its founding. Every year, it has likewise steadily increased its income and profit.

Seplat also became a significant natural gas supplier to Nigeria’s domestic markets.

They were able to do this by making large investments in the creation, marketing, and monetization of the gas deposits found on its blocks.

Now, Seplat established the NPDC scholarship with a focus on the Niger Delta region in order to give back to the local communities they explore. Since the scholarship’s creation, it has been offered each year.
