About POLAC University

Situated in Wudil, Kano State, Nigeria, the Nigeria Police Academy (NPA) is a federal university.

The Federal Government of Nigeria sanctioned the establishment of this degree-granting institution in Wudil, Kano State, in 2012.

Recognizing its status, the National Universities Commission (NUC) designated the Academy as the 124th university in Nigeria and the 37th federal university.

POLAC University UTME and Direct Entry Admission Requirements

To gain admission into the Academy, applicants must hold Nigerian citizenship. Additionally, they must fall within the age range of 17 to 22.

The minimum height criteria for acceptance are 1.67 meters (5 feet 6 inches) for men and 1.62 meters (5 feet 4 inches) for women.

Male candidates should have a chest measurement of at least 86 cm (34 inches). All applicants must be free from any physical or mental abnormalities.

Other POLAC University Requirements

Applicants need to have obtained a minimum of SIX (6) credits in the West African Examinations Council’s (WAEC) Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

Alternatively, results from the National Examinations Council (NECO) or the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) are acceptable, but only if achieved in two sittings.

Candidates must have credit passes in subjects relevant to their chosen field of study at the Academy, along with English and mathematics.

Furthermore, candidates must excel in the written test, perform well in the interview, and successfully pass both the physical and psychological fitness assessments.

The Nigeria Police Academy Selection Board Interview is exclusively available to candidates who clear the selection exam. The list of selected candidates will be published on our website and various major media outlets.


How to Join the Nigerian Police Academy

The Nigeria Police Academy Selection Examination will take place as per the scheduled date, and eligible applicants who meet the minimum UTME requirements set by JAMB and have paid for the Academy’s online application form will be eligible to take part.

All applications must be submitted through the online platform. After the application submission, candidates are required to download the Acknowledgement Form.

If their scores meet or exceed the national cutoff point, candidates can proceed to download and print their examination cards.
