In a recent public announcement, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) announced the beginning of NERC recruitment for the hiring of new employees to fill open posts.

Interested parties are urged to submit applications via the application portal.

Basic Requirements for NERC Recruitment 2024

All aspiring candidates must be citizens of Nigeria. He or she must possess a recognized form of identification, such as a passport from another country or a national ID card.

The candidate must also possess a Bank Verification Number (BVN). The applicant must have earned at least five (5) credits in English Language and Mathematics in no more than two (2) sittings in either WAEC, GCE, NEC or NABTEB.

The age range for applicants is 20 to 35. The applicant must hold a degree, such as an HND, OND, NCE, or SSCE. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities are required of the applicant.

The candidate must possess an in-depth understanding of electrical work. A candidate has an edge if they just received their degree in a related field. These are the basic criteria for employment with the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission.


How To Successfully Apply

1. Visit the NERC employment website at careers.nerc.gov.ng.

2. To log in, enter your email address and password.

3. Select the role you wish to apply for.

4. Completely fill out the online application.

5. Scan the requirements document to the required size and upload it.

6. Look at the details you’ve given.

7. In case your information is accurate, keep submitting.

During the application procedure, the following documents must be scanned and uploaded:

  • Birth Certificate/Sworn Age Declaration
  • Passport
  • NYSC Discharge or Exemption Certificate
  • Professional Certificates
  • Degrees
  • First School Leaving Certificate
  • LGA Identification

Following submission, a confirmation page with your application number will appear; ensure you print or copy the application number.

We advise that you visit the portal and submit an application using the procedures indicated above because the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has not formally set a date for the closure of the recruitment portal login.
