About the NDA

Nigeria’s only military academy is the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), which is situated in Kaduna.

For Nigerian Armed Forces officers to advance in the future, they want to produce officers with a broad foundation of knowledge in both academic and military domains.

NDA’s mission is to equip each officer cadet with the ideals, knowledge, and abilities needed to fulfill the demands of a military officer using intellectual, character, and military development.

Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) Admission Requirements

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has established specific admission criteria that must be met for enrollment in any reputable program. Here are the key requirements:

1. Select NDA as your primary institution before considering other options.

2. Attain a minimum of 5 credit passes in English and mathematics in no more than two sittings in the SSCE or its equivalent, all of which must be relevant to the chosen subject.

3. Be between 17 and 21 years old at the time of enrollment.

4. For the chosen faculty, secure at least two relevant supporting credits, in addition to the mandatory credits (except for the College of Engineering, which requires only one supporting credit).

5. Both male and female candidates must be at least 1.50 meters tall.

6. Be unmarried and not legally or morally obligated to support any dependents.

7. Maintain good moral standing and be in sound physical and medical health.

8. Provide a certificate of origin issued by the local government.
