Nabanna Scholarship: The West Bengal government created the Nabanna Scholarship Scheme with the intention of providing financial aid to deserving students who have passed any university examination (UG/PG) or the Madhyamik (Class 10) or Higher Secondary (Class 12) level.

Nabanna Scholarship 2024

Documents Needs for Nabanna Award 2024

  • Result sheet for the most recent exams that you passed.
  • A current, self-attested color passport photo
  • a government-issued form of identification (such as a PAN card, Aadhaar card, or voter identity card).
  • Copies of the mark sheet and the selection committee’s letter of allocation
  • A photocopy of the payment receipt for the current academic year’s tuition and entry costs.
  • Income Certificate: A copy of the family’s monthly income certificate from any of the individuals listed in the brackets.
  • MP/MLA Certificate: A copy of the MP/MLA’s recommendation to the Hon. Chief Minister outlining the candidates’ monthly family income.
  • Self bank account information and a photocopy of the bank passbook are included in the bank passbook.
  • Self-Declaration: The candidate must sign a self-declaration form in which they list their current course of study, the year and semester they are in, and any scholarships, grants, or other financial aid they have received. This form must be properly countersigned by the head of the current institution and sealed.
  • Email address and personal mobile number are used for contact.

Eligibility Criteria of the scholarship

The following requirements must be met by the applicant in order to be considered for the scholarship:

  • copies of the mark sheets from all previously passed exams.
  • Copies of the selection committee’s allotment letter and rank card (only for JEE or equivalent examination)
  • DM, SDO, BDO, Group-A government officer not below the rank of Joint B.D.O., Executive Officer in case of Municipality, or Deputy Commissioner of Corporation copy of monthly family income certificate from any of the individuals listed in the bracket.
  • Copy of MP/MLA recommendation to the Hon. Chief Minister outlining the student’s family’s monthly income.
  • Self-declaration of the student, properly countersigned by the head of the current institution with seal. Regarding current course of study, specifying year/semester and receipt of any scholarship, aid, or assistance.
  • Information on a self-banking account, including the bank name, account number, and branch code, together with a photocopy of the passbook.
  • Copy of the tuition and admissions fee book.
  • Contact Information including own mobile number.
  • For high school students, the candidate must have earned 65% in Madhyamik, for college students 60% in HS, and for post-graduate students 55% in undergrad.
  • The candidate’s family’s annual income should not be more than Rs 60,000.

The selection process for Nabanna Scholarship

The percentage achieved in the most recent exam and the financial situation of the family must be taken into consideration when choosing the Nabanna Scholarship 2024 candidate. 

After submitting the form, the process will need to be completed in three or four months. The money will be transferred directly into the bank accounts of the chosen candidates.
