How to Upload Result On Jamb Portal

The process of uploading their O-level results to the JAMB portal is challenging for many students. We’ll walk you through the simple process of uploading your result to the JAMB CAPS in this article.

All applicants must upload their O-level results to be considered for admission to a Nigerian university, as you are undoubtedly aware.

If you don’t want to be one of the many applicants who were rejected from admission to a Nigerian university due to their inability to upload their results to their JAMB profile, then continue reading this article.

What is Uploading of O’level to JAMB Portal?

Even the title itself is clear. Uploading O-level results: To be eligible for admission, you must upload your WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB results to the JAMB website.

The JAMB has changed over time how students are admitted to Nigerian universities and polytechnics. Previously, after taking the JAMB UTME exam, candidates would go to their preferred school to take the Post UTME exam. If they passed, the school would then offer the candidates admission.

The entire process has undergone a slight modification under the new regime: candidates must take the JAMB exam and visit the school to take the Post-UTME exam (not all schools administer Post-UTME exams).

Following the Post-UTME exams, the school sends a list of eligible applicants to JAMB, which uses JAMB CAPS to automatically cross-check the candidates on the list to see if they qualify for admission.

Upload O’level result On JAMB CAPS

Although uploading an applicant’s results is a simple process, it is too crucial to overlook. An applicant’s chances of being admitted will be impacted if they fail to upload their O-level results to the JAMB CAPS portal.

To confirm that your results were correctly registered on the JAMB CAPS portal, the following procedures will be followed:.

  • If you haven’t already, go to https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility to access the JAMB e-facility portal and register.
  • Enter your password and JAMB email address to log in.
  • Choose the year of your exam.
  • Find and select the “Check Admission Status” tab.
  • Click “Access my caps.”
  • To see and verify whether the upload was successful, tap “My O’level result.”

You have to take urgent action if, despite following the above-mentioned procedures, you are unable to view your results.

This is because candidates who chose to keep their SSCE result upload on hold—by selecting the option labeled “Awaiting Result”—will not be considered for admission until their results have been submitted to the JAMB CAPS portal.

When Do I Need To Upload My O’level Result?

Your O’level result, which can be your WAEC, WAEC GCE, NABTEB, NECO, or any other results accepted by Nigerian tertiary institutions, is what you are expected to upload during your JAMB registration.

It is recommended that you upload your O-level results if you already have them when registering. Students can register for the exam using “Awaiting results” (AR) if they do not have their results at registration (either because they are still writing their O’level exams or because their results have not been released yet).

However, they have to upload their results as soon as they receive them, which is probably going to be after the JAMB exam.

Uploading Your Result Using Your Smartphone

To upload your result using your phone, follow these steps if you have a smartphone that can connect to the Internet and a scanned copy of your results:

  • Click this link to access the WAEC result uploading portal: https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility.
  • After scanning or snapping your WAEC result, press the “Send” button.
  • After that, you’ll need to input your registration number, full name, and JAMB profile code.
  • You will be obliged to pay a processing fee of 1,000 Naira.
  • Now watch for the upload of the WAEC result. It could require a few minutes.

Please Be Aware your results might not upload if the scanned document has a watermark on it. To prevent any problems, it is best to scan your documents at the JAMB Center. This is because the majority of phone scanning apps usually watermark the documents they scan.
