Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for any scholarship granted by or through the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, certain general prerequisites must be satisfied. Additionally, specific scholarships may entail extra requirements.


General Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for an HSF scholarship:

1. Must have Hispanic heritage

2. Be a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA recipient

3. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students

4. Intend to enroll full-time in an accredited, public, or not-for-profit four-year university or graduate school in the U.S. for the 2023-2024 academic year

5. Submit the FAFSA or state-based financial aid forms if applicable
