WAEC and GCE Registration Form 2023

The WAEC GCE is mostly for external and private applicants who have completed secondary education.

General Certificate Examinations, or GCEs, are administered by the West African Examination Council to those who are not already enrolled in school. However, secondary school students may also take the test.

It is renowned on a global scale. GCE registration is done online because there is no secondary school involved.

Opening and Closing Date

The public has been informed by the West African Examination Council (WAEC) that GCE 2022 registration would begin on July 13, 2022.

The 14th of August 2022 will mark the end of its one-month duration. Anyone interested in running for office should register, take a thumbprint, and deliver the necessary information before the deadline.

WAEC GCE Registration Fee 2023

The cost of the GCE registration fee for 2023 is eighteen thousand naira (N18,000.00) plus a commission of five hundred naira (N500.00) to the banks/accredited agents.

How to apply for WAEC GCE 2023

Candidates must pay the following banks or agencies, who have been authorized by WAEC, the sum of eighteen thousand naira (N18000), in order to register:

  • First Bank of Nigeria
  • First City Monument Bank PLC
  • Guaranty Trust Bank PLC
  • Heritage Bank PLC

  • Sterling Bank PLC
  • Union Bank of Nigeria PLC
  • United Bank of Africa PLC
  • Unity Bank PLC
  • WEMA Bank PLC
  • Zenith Bank PLC

Additionally, candidates will pay the banks/accredited banks a commission of 500 naira (N500.00).

WAEC GCE Registration Requirements 2023

Private and external candidates who wish to register for the GCE must fulfill the following criteria in order to do so:

Your registration fee must have been paid through a bank or other authorized agent.

A National Identification Number (NIN) is a requirement.

Your biometric data must be completed.

You must have selected the subjects’ pairing.

How to Create GCE Registration Profile 2023

to sign up for GCE you must first create a profile using the procedures listed below:

Your GCE Registration PIN can be generated. To purchase your PIN, follow the instructions below https://registration.waecdirect.org/.

On Start Registration, click.

put your username here

To check whether a name is available or already taken, click on Check Availability.

Enter a password that you can recall.

To verify your password, enter the same password.

Click Continue After Entering Your PIN.

How to Register WAEC GCE 2023 Online on the Registration Portal

If you are registering for the WAEC GCE first or second series 2022, you can use this format to register online on WAEC GCE registration after buying the pin.

Note: You can either complete your biometrics first, go to the portal, and click on Continue Registration, or you can click on Start Registration first, complete the form, save it, and then complete your biometrics.

Proceed to take biometrics after purchasing your pin and creating your profile.

Make sure the data from your biometrics matches the data from your profile.

After capturing your biometric data, print your Photocard.

To verify your information and finish the registration process, go back to the portal and click continue registration.
