Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for postgraduate study, candidates must hold a first degree with at least Second Class Honours Upper Division and be enrolled full-time at a Federal or State University.

All additional candidates must be enrolled full-time in their second or higher academic year at a federal or state university, a polytechnic, a mono-technic, or a college of education. Individuals pursuing undergraduate, higher national diplomas, and Nigeria Certificate in Education programs must meet this criterion.

For applicants to undergraduate scholarships, the cumulative grade point average (CGPA), including those with physical disabilities, must be at least 4.0 on a 5-point scale (or its equivalent) or 5.0 on a 7-point scale.

A CGPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale is required for applicants to the NCE and HND programs.

The application period for the scholarship, which is valid in Nigeria, started at the start of the current academic year.

 It is not permitted to be held simultaneously with another Award or for students doing part-time classes.

No modifications to your school or course are allowed.

An institution or course change is not allowed while getting the award.

How to Apply for Federal Government Tertiary Institution Scholarship

Candidates who meet the requirements are told to do the following:

Navigate to the Federal Scholarship Board ICON on the homepage of the www.education.gov.ng website run by the Federal Ministry of Education.

Complete the online application form after carefully reading the instructions.

Print the application after it has been finished.

Keep in mind that submitting two entries will disqualify you.
