About the University

University of Ekiti Located in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, Nigeria, Ado Ekiti is a state government-owned and run Nigerian university.

On March 30, 1982, the administration of Chief Michael Adekunle Ajasin, the first civilian governor of Ondo State, founded it as Obafemi Awolowo University, Ado-Ekiti. The Association of Commonwealth Universities counts the university as one of its members.

The only university in Nigeria to have had four name changes in less than 25 years is Ekiti State University, or Ado-Ekiti as it is now known. In 1985, the name was changed to Ondo State University.

Also, in November 1999, it became University of Ado-Ekiti. In September 2011, it became Ekiti State University of Ado Ekiti. According to Webometrics, it was the third-best state university in Nigeria in 2021.

EKSU Cut Off Mark for 2024/2025

180 is the cut mark for Ekiti State University (EKSU). Take note that the Ekiti State University Board set the school cutoff mark for the 2024–2025 academic year at 160+. The EKSU cutoff dates for 2024 and 2025 are unknown.

That is, the 2024–2025 Ekiti State University (EKSU) cutoff mark has not yet been released. To be eligible for admission in 2024–2025, you must score higher than the EKSU 180 cut mark.

This further implies that in order to be eligible to purchase the Ekiti State University Post-UTME form and be considered for admission in 2024, you must score precisely 180 or higher.

EKSU admission requirements through Direct Entry 

The following conditions must be satisfied by applicants who want to be admitted directly to Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti (EKSU):

Candidates’ O-level results must show a minimum of five (5) credits. Math and English language proficiency are prerequisites. Two sitting results, however, are not permitted.

Additionally, candidates need to be at least 16 years old. In order to apply, candidates must obtain a JAMB Directly entry form from JAMB.

Any of the following certificates should be held by candidates: ND, IJMB, Cambridge, OND, and NCE ICAN, BSc, HND, and A level.
