Coolidge Scholarship

In their junior year of high school, candidates apply for the Coolidge Scholarship by applying.

Plymouth Notch, Vermont, home to the Coolidge Historic Site, serves as the venue for a finalist weekend. During this event, finalists are flown in for interviews with the Coolidge Scholars Finalist Jury.

Recipients of the Coolidge Scholarship are notified of their award in the late stages of their junior year before they submit their college applications (please note that current high school seniors are not eligible to apply).

For those who are finalists but not selected as Coolidge Scholars, a smaller, one-time college scholarship is still available.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Coolidge Scholarship, applicants must have the intention to enroll full-time as undergraduates at an accredited U.S. college or university in the fall of 2024.

This eligibility extends to students in their junior year of high school or the equivalent if homeschooled.

Additionally, high school juniors who are currently taking some courses at a local college are also eligible to apply for the Coolidge Scholarship.

Applicants must be citizens or legal permanent residents of the United States of America by the scholarship deadline in 2024.
