Bold Scholarship Program for Students

BOLD Scholarships

BOLD (Broadening Opportunity through Leadership and Diversity) Scholarships are established on the principles of high-impact practices within the STEM education field.

Beyond providing financial awards, recipients can anticipate involvement in a community that includes staff and peer mentoring, academic and professional development, and additional opportunities.

BOLD actively seeks and supports students who are under-represented in engineering colleges nationwide, including women, under-represented minorities, and first-generation, and low-income students.

Nevertheless, BOLD Scholarships are open to any engineering student passionate about diversity and inclusion, and who wishes to contribute to the mission of the BOLD Center.

We collaborate with various programs, including CU Boulder’s First-Generation Scholars Program, CU LEAD Alliance, Denver Scholarship Foundation, and the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering.

All BOLD Scholarships are participation-based, requiring recipients to commit to and meet specific participation requirements to qualify for the award. Detailed participation requirements are specified under each scholarship opportunity.
